We'll be gathering at Blue Highway Games in Seattle's Queen Anne neighborhood to playtest new game prototypes from local game designers.
Here are some of the games we expect to play...
• HORIZONS by Levi Mote: 2 to 4 players, age 14+, 60 minutes, Main Mechanics: Modular Board, Engine Building, Resource Management, Area Control. A new star cluster has come to the Empire's attention and you've been chosen to explore the new systems, setting up energy and ore collectors, establishing colonies, and using alliances with alien races to achieve mission goals. Exert the most control in these systems and your rewards will be astounding.
• PATHOS by Tim Denney and Joshua Du Chene: 2 players ages 10+. 10 to 15 minutes. Main Mechanics: Area Movement, Modular Board, Area Control. Build a route to your home base by adding bricks and moving units along the growing path. But watch out for your oponent, as they'll be trying to block your way and build their own path to victory.
• FANTASTIC FACTORIES by Joseph Chen: 2 to 5 players, ages 13+. 45 to 60 minutes. Main Mechanics: Worker Placement, Dice Rolling, Resource Management, Tableau Building, Simultaneous Play. Build fantastic factories and out-produce other players as you roll dice, activate buildings, and synergistically assemble your empire like a well-oiled machine.
Playtesters: RSVP through our event page on Meetup.com.
Designers: Email the event host, David MacKenzie, to reserve a demo table.
